The right sound. Light that suits the moment. Controls that everyone feels comfortable using. Here is how an idea becomes a practical home or garden project.
A room refresh and a fully integrated renovation need different budgets. We begin with your priorities and establish what needs checking before giving you a price.
Design & assessment
Understanding the property, agreeing the experience and specifying a workable solution. Any survey or design fee is agreed before that work starts.
Equipment & installation
Products, wiring, labour and enabling work. Your proposal should distinguish included work from electrical, building, landscaping or decorating work quoted separately.
Integration & handover
Configuration, compatibility checks, testing in your rooms, instructions and time to practise using the system.
Life after installation
Subscriptions, maintenance and replacement considerations, plus separately priced optional support. Understand these alongside the initial investment.
Have a figure in mind?
Share a comfortable investment range, or ask us to help establish one. We can explore what matters most, what can be reused and whether a phased approach makes sense. A budget indication is not a quote or a commitment to spend.
A written proposal should make the total, VAT where applicable, exclusions, payment stages and treatment of changes clear. You agree the scope and price before committing.
You do not need to choose a brand before speaking to us. These examples do different jobs; the right design depends on your home and the people using it.
LIGHT & SHADE
Lutron HomeWorks
An example of a system for lighting and shading scenes, with dedicated everyday controls.
Ask: Which circuits and blinds are included, how do they dim, and what wiring and specialist setup are needed?
Brand examples are for explanation, not a specification or a claim of authorised dealer status. Suitability, UK product availability, compatibility and specialist delivery are checked for each project.
BEFORE YOU COMMIT
The details worth getting right.
A considered system should feel comfortable to live with long after the installation.
How much disruption should I expect?
That depends on access and the design. Retrofitting selected controls may need less work than rewiring a whole home. We establish wiring, power, network and making-good requirements before agreeing the programme.
What happens if the internet stops working?
We distinguish a broadband outage from a failure of the local network, controller or power. The specification should identify what continues working, which features stop and the agreed manual alternatives.
Who owns the accounts and has access?
Agree account ownership, administration, family permissions, configuration records and any remote support access. When planning for a relative, involve them and respect their preferences.
How will I know the project is finished?
Agree practical acceptance checks in the proposal: the routines to demonstrate, the controls to practise, instructions and records to hand over, and how any unfinished items are resolved.
Can I arrange ongoing support?
Optional support can be scoped separately. Agree what it covers, its cost, contact hours, response targets and exclusions before signing up. No ongoing package is purchased through this page.
LET’S MAKE YOUR IDEAS CONCRETE
Tell us about the home you would love to live in.
Share the rooms or garden you have in mind, your project stage and anything you would like to keep. A preferred timescale and investment range are helpful if you know them.
