Is Smart Care for disabled people too?
Yes. We explore controls and practical changes around what you want to do, whether your needs relate to mobility, sight, hearing, dexterity or everyday routines. You do not need to want monitoring. Specialist requirements may need an occupational therapist or assistive technology professional.
What is Smart Care?
Smart Care is our approach to technology-enabled independent living: helpful sensors, simpler controls and considered adaptations, planned around the person at home. It supports everyday reassurance; it does not replace personal care or professional medical advice.
Does Smart Care mean cameras in my home?
No. We start with less intrusive options such as movement, door and temperature sensors. Cameras are not the default. Any recommendation should have a clear purpose and be discussed with the person living in the home.
Who decides what information the family can see?
The resident’s wishes come first. The assessment explores what information is useful, who should have access and how that access can change. If decision-making capacity is a concern, appropriate professional guidance is needed before proceeding.
